Antioch Baptist Church

MEET OUR PASTOR

Pastor Jordan

"Praise God from whom all blessings flow. God is working through people to do great things for our Antioch family. We look forward to having you as our guest; and we believe that when you join us in worship, it is by divine ordinance. When Antioch enters into worship, we usher in the anointing of the Holy Spirit, so that the needs of God's people may be met. I pray that you will reach Excellence by living through the Word of God."

Pastor Richard L. Jordan

Dr. Richard L. Jordan is a native of Columbus, Ohio. He accepted God’s call to the Gospel Ministry and was licensed in 1979 at the Corinthian Baptist Church, where his father, the late F. L. Jordan was the founding Pastor.

He is married to the lovely Sharon L. Jordan and they are the proud parents of four adult sons – Larry, James, Devin, and Richard II; and one adult daughter – Reva.

Dr. Jordan's favorite pasttimes are playing basketball and joining in family events. He also enjoys traveling and playing with his family's dog, Sasha.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Ohio Dominican College, a Masters of Divinity degree from the Methodist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from United Theological Seminary.

Dr. Jordan was the pastor of the Second Baptist Church in Washington Court House, Ohio from 1989 to 1994. In May 1994, he accepted the Pastorate of the Antioch Baptist Church in Canton, Ohio, where he faithfully serves God and the community. He truly is a visionary and in November 2009, God has fulfilled another piece of the vision to relocate the ministry to its new location at 1844 Ira Turpin Way NE.

He is very active in the Canton community and works closely with the area churches, law enforcement, government, education and civic leaders in an effort to make Canton a better place to live.

Among Dr. Jordan's joys of pastoring Antioch is seeing lives transformed.  Under his leadership, Antioch’s heart is being prepared for God as they are “Living Through the Word and Striving for Excellence”.
