Antioch Church
  • We believe there is one, and only one, living and true God, whose name is Jehovah, the Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth. In the unity of the Godhead there are three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. v (Isaiah 45:5; John 10:30; 14:8-10; I John 5:7)

  • We believe the Holy Bible is the divinely inspired, infallible Word of God that reveals the principles by which God will judge mankind; and shall remain until the end of time. (Matthew 24:35; II Timothy 3:16; I Peter 1:25; II Peter 1:21)

  • We believe all have sinned and are in need of salvation. (Romans 3:23; 5:12)

  • We believe salvation is wholly of grace through Jesus, who freely took upon Himself our sins; and by His death, made full atonement for us. (Hebrews 10:14; I Peter 2:24)

  • We believe that justification includes the pardon of sin, and the promise of eternal life; that it is not bestowed because of any works we have done, but solely through faith in the Redeemer's blood. (Acts 13:38,39; Romans 3:24,25; 5:9-11; Ephesians 2:8,9)

  • We believe in order to be saved, sinners must be regenerated (born again), and repentance and faith are sacred duties wrought in our souls by the regenerating Spirit of God. (John 3:3,5; Titus 3:5)

  • We believe sanctification is the process that separates us from our sin-man, and makes us partakers of God's holiness; that it is a progressive work that is begun in regeneration. (II Corinthians 4:16; Hebrews 10:10; II Peter 3:18)
  • We believe the Holy Spirit is the sovereign giver of spiritual gifts to the church, for the perfecting of the Saints, for the work of ministry and for the edifying of the Body of Christ. (I Corinthians 12:11,28; Ephesians 4:7-12; Hebrews 2:4)

  • We believe the church is an assembly of "called-out", baptized believers, the chosen of God united by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the Gospel. The New Testament Church is revealed as the Body of Christ. (Matthew 16:18; Ephesians 5:25-27; Hebrews 10:25)

  • We believe Baptism is the immersion of a believer in water, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost; which symbolizes the death, burial and resurrection of the risen Savior, Jesus Christ. The Lord's Supper is the symbolic remembrance of the sacrificial death of Christ through the use of bread and wine. (Matthew 28:19; Matthew 26:26-28; I Corinthians 11:23-26)

  • We believe that God is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe. Everything belongs to Him. He allows us to be recipients of His bountiful blessings. God only asks that we willingly and freely give back to Him a tithe (10%) of that which He has blessed us with. This not only means giving of our finances, but our time, talents, gifts, service and commitment. (Psalm 24:1; Ephesians 5:15,16; I Peter 4:10,11; Malachi 3:8-11; Luke 6:38)

  • We believe that in the last day, Christ will descend from heaven, and raise the dead from the grave to meet those still living in the air for final retribution; that a solemn separation will take place; that the wicked will be adjudged to endless punishment in hell, and the righteous to endless joy in heaven. (I Thessalonians 4:13-17; Revelation 20:11-15)
